Microsoft recently announced Microsoft Teams for free, so now you can use Microsoft Teams reach features including chat (1 to 1), audio and video call, file sharing and Apps and connectors for free. So, all great features available for you and your organization without any cost.

Teams is available in a free version worldwide in 40 languages. Whether you are a freelancer, a small business owner, or part of a team inside a large organization, you can start using Teams today as free.

What are the feature available for Microsoft Teams for free?

Microsoft Teams for free version includes the following capabilities for up to 300 people:

• Unlimited chat messages and search.
• Built-in audio and video calling for individuals, groups, and full team meetups.
• File Sharing. 10 GB of team file storage plus additional 2 GB per person for personal storage.
• Apps and connectors, Unlimited app integrations with 140+ business apps to choose from—including Adobe, Evernote, and Trello.
• Integrated, real-time content creation with Office Online apps, including built-in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and OneNote.
• Ability to communicate and collaborate with anyone inside or outside your organization, backed by Microsoft’s secure, global infrastructure. Refer below image shows Microsoft Teams for free Web App interface.

If you want more features with enterprise level security, then you must upgrade to Office 365 to get following additional capabilities, refer above shows upgrade option on top of Microsoft Teams.

How to sign-in up for Microsoft Team for free?

Browse (https://products.office.com/en-us/microsoft-teams/free) URL in your browser and then type your email address and click on “SIGNUP FOR FREE”

Complete the sign-up process to Microsoft Teams for free.

Once you are complete the account setup steps, you will see “Start using Teams” message, like below image.

Now you can start using Microsoft Teams for free. When you click on Let’s go button it will ask you to download Microsoft Teams desktop app or login to web apps.

Once you click on “Next”, it takes couple of minutes to provision Microsoft Teams for your account. Once you see below screen means, teams ready for use. Start using Microsoft Teams great collaboration and communication feature free of cost.

Note: In case you have logged in to Teams with different organization account then you need to switch your organization to new tenant Teams login.
