Skype for Business Server 2015 CU8 enables moving users from on-premises to Teams support

Skype for Business Server 2015 CU8 enables support for moving users from SfB on-premises to Microsoft Teams directly without moving SfB On-prem Users -> SfB Online -> Microsoft Teams.

Apart from adding SfB to Teams user migration support this, Cumulative Updates 8 (Jan 2019) resolves many open issues. Like, Skype UCWA client wasn’t distinguished on CDR report if connection is internal or external that got resolve which was making lot of confusion in monitoring report, can’t make an outbound PSTN call by using Skype for Business on Mac if LBR is enabled which big improvement this CU8 adds, Can’t escalate a peer-to-peer call to a conference if VbSS is used in screen-sharing in Skype for Business on Mac got fix and many more.

There is one known issue which can be safely ignored as there is no impact to functionality. This issue will be fixed in a future cumulative update.

When you run the Test-CsDatabase cmdlet to test the configuration of the Skype for Business Server databases, you could notice that the installed local XDS (Master) database version isn’t matched with the “Expected Version”. Thank you.
