How to enable Microsoft Whiteboard (Preview)?

Microsoft Whiteboard is a digital canvas where people, content, and ideas come together. Using whiteboard, you can invite others to work together in real time addition to that you can switch or create more whiteboard. Whiteboard drag object by press and hold to around the whiteboard. Whiteboard is part of Office 365 suite, Whiteboard enables teams to collaborate in real time, wherever you are, and gives your ideas room to grow with an infinite canvas designed for pen, touch, and keyboard.

Whiteboard is automatically enabled for applicable Office 365 tenants. The Whiteboard Web App (Preview) will not be enabled automatically until General Availability (GA). It must be enabled by an Office 365 global administrator for the organization, using the Microsoft 365 Admin Center.

How to enable Whiteboard (preview) in Office 365 tenant?

Whiteboard is automatically enabled for applicable Office 365 tenants. Windows 10 and iOS users in your tenant can download the app for their preferred platform and sign in, unless you’ve chosen to disable the service.

To enable or disable Whiteboard, do the following:

1. Login to the Microsoft 365 Admin Center with global admin permission.
2. On the Admin Center home page, go to Settings, and then choose Services & add-ins.
3. On the Service & add-ins page, scroll down, and then find Whiteboard and choose the same. Refer below image.

1. 4. On the Whiteboard panel,
   • toggle/check box, Turn Whiteboard on for your entire organization. To disable whiteboard simply uncheck.
   • Toggle/check box “Turn Whiteboard (Preview) on for your entire organization”. To disable whiteboard simply uncheck.

• 5. Finally click on “Save changes”.

How do I use Microsoft Whiteboard (Preview)?

You can use web-based Whiteboard by browsing Whiteboard.microsoft.com URL and then login with your user ID (email ID) and password.

Click on (+) plus sign

Whiteboard app is available for PC and HUB. You can download and run.

Where is Whiteboard data stored?

Whiteboard data is stored in Microsoft Azure within datacenters located in the United States. We are working to support additional datacenters worldwide.

What compliance standards does Whiteboard meet?

The Whiteboard apps for Windows 10 and iOS meet Tier C, which means that they conform to global standards including SOC 1, SOC 2, ISO 27001, HIPAA, and EU Model Clauses. When the Whiteboard Web App (currently in Preview) is made generally available, it will meet the same level of compliance standards.
