Teams New Feature update: Send feedback to Microsoft Teams

Microsoft has added new feature to Teams to allow to Send feedback to Microsoft as support data under your organization Office 365 tenant.

This is useful feature to directly share your feedback to Microsoft. Microsoft will be begin rolling this feature out soon.

How does this impact me?

User will have an option to send feedback to Microsoft. The new feature will be available under Help > “Give feedback”

Write feedback and send

Microsoft will be gradually rolling this out in early August, and the roll out will be completed by the end of August.

What should I do to prepare for this change?

There is nothing you need to do if you would like users to have the ability to provide feedback. If you would prefer to turn this off, you may do so via policy settings.

How do I enable or disable feedback feature?

You as an admin, can control whether users in your organization can send feedback about Teams to Microsoft. By default, all users in your organization are automatically assigned the global (Org-wide default) policy and the feature is enabled in the policy. The exception is Teams for Education, where the feature is enabled for teachers and disabled for students.

If you want to control the feedback, then use below PowerShell command to control this: You can create a feedback policy called “Disable Feedback Policy” and we turn off the ability to give feedback to user who has this policy assigned.

New-CsTeamsFeedbackPolicy -Identity “Disable Feedback Policy” -userInitiatedMode disabled

To assign policy:

Grant-CsTeamsFeedbackPolicy -Identity [email protected] -PolicyName “Disable Feedback Policy”

Thank you.
