Microsoft Teams meeting One touch Join

Microsoft has updated Meeting Invites experience that are generated by Microsoft Outlook, Teams desktop client or Teams mobile app with clickable Dial-in string to allow dial-in to meeting with one click join.

Microsoft Teams meeting does have one click join like Skype for Business and Zoom meeting, means users can join Teams meeting while driving or when they don’t have good network connectivity or simply dial-in by clicking on dial-in string in meeting invite from native mobile calendar apps or Outlook apps or even outlook desktop client instead of joining from Teams mobile app or Teams desktop client.

This is very useful for Dial-in to Teams meeting from Mobile phone. Example, when users what to join Teams meeting however, they are driving or when they don’t have good network connectivity but dialing full 10-digit number and conference ID is bit tedious job. For this scenarios Teams has one touch join string that combine the Dial-in bridge number + conference ID, which allow users to join teams meeting using single click, similar to Zoom and Skype meeting.

Meeting attendee can simply click on clickable phone number which will dial-out to first dial the bridge number (+1-650-xxx-xxxx), then pause, then send the Conference ID (98465429) through DTMF tones, completing with the pound (#) sign. Phone number format: dial-in number as tel:,#. Refer below screenshot for more information (Using conference ID and meeting join link which showed in screenshot are example purpose not for use).

There is bit confusion for one touch join using outlook app because Outlook invite will not show as string however when you hover mouse pointer or click that dial-in number you will be able join meeting as touch join.

See the clickable Dial-in string in outlook invite:

Native Calendar shows dial-in string

So far, I have tested Teams meeting invite scheduled from Outlook desktop client, Teams desktop and mobile (iOS) apps which shows one touch string.

Thank you.
