21 Nov How to resolve Skype for Business crashing issue?
If your Skype for Business client is crashing, then there might be plenty reason behind it. Here you can start is:
- Update your Skype for Business client: You may experience random crashes of Microsoft Skype for Business 2016 due to client version.
- Most of the time client crashing issue get resolve after updating Skype for Business client with latest updates. If issue persist then do.
- If Skype for Business client crashes when use Audio / Video call and meeting, then do below:
- Remove all USB headset/ devices from your computer and use inbuilt-in speaker and mic to Skype for Business isolate device interference sign-in and use Skype for Business client for Audio / Video call.
OR
- You can unmute audio and make Skype for Business call. If call works that means issue with your USB device. If issue persist then.
- If issue persist then > Uninstall Office 2015 / 2016 completely and reinstall Office 2015/2016 again and then try to use Audio/ Video calls. If issue persist then do below.
- Open Computer Management > Device Manager > Expand ‘Voice, Video and game…’ > right click on each driver and select ‘Updates driver Software’ and then restart computer and check.
- If issue persist then rename your affected users windows profile using Administrator account. Users profile path: C:\Users\
Note: make sure to take Backup of your affected users’ profile first before rename the profile. Ask user to Login on computer using new profile and make calls.
- If still issue persist then last and final option is reimage the affected users computer… (Not recommended).
