17 Nov What Office 365 license plan include Microsoft Teams subscription?
Microsoft Teams is a part of Office 365 subscriptions; however, there are many different Office 365 subscriptions available, and Teams has so many features such as, persistent chat, audio/video call/ meeting, phone call (PSTN), content sharing and so on, that makes some confusion. This blog post will give you an overview of what Office 365 subscription plan includes Teams and what are the add-on licenses available for Teams.
Caveat: I am neither Microsoft License expert, nor sell Microsoft licenses, this post specifically gives you some Teams license information. For enterprise license, need to contact Microsoft.

Native Microsoft Teams license provides you, all features except Teams Audio Conferencing and Phone system (PSTN).
Teams Add-on Licenses:
- Audio Conferencing: To use Teams audio conferencing (to allow the participant to join meeting via dial-in to conference bridge number and conf ID) need “Audio Conference” license as Add-on license that license admin can acquire from Office 365 admin portal under the licensing tab.
- Phone system: To use dial-pad in Teams to dial-out external phone numbers and receives an external phone call require phone system license (aka, cloud PBX).
- Calling plan: Teams phone system is an add-on license that enables Teams users to use PBX functionality; however, making phone calls to local, national, and international numbers requires calling plan license.
